Far Reaches was actually the first gin I truly liked. All the more reason I'm delighted that we can offer it at fassclub today.
However, my story didn't begin with the first sip, but with an encounter. I had the opportunity to meet Andrew, one of the founders, in person. What immediately struck me was his passion. You quickly realize that Far Reaches wasn't born at a marketing agency's desk, but out of genuine adventurousness, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world. I particularly liked his unpretentious manner – a tasting out of a backpack, without much fuss, but with all the more heart and soul.
Far Reaches also immediately convinced me with its taste. The fresh citrus note is pleasantly prominent, while the juniper elegantly lingers in the background. Added to this is a delicate hint of grains of paradise, which only briefly makes itself known and gives the gin additional depth.
What ultimately convinced me is the story behind the brand. The journeys, the encounters, and the botanicals from different parts of the world don't feel contrived. You can feel that Far Reaches was born out of passion and not with the goal of making money as quickly as possible.
